Cindy Tsuji's Climb for Clean Air Pledge Page
Dear Friends and Family:
I am excited to announce that I have committed to climb Mt Rainier!!! Yes, I will be turning 35 in June needed a new challenge to help me "stretch"! It is the American Lung Association's 14th annual Climb for Clean Air led by renowned mountaineer, Lou Whittaker, in July. The first challenge I face is building enough endurance to get to the 14,411 foot summit of the NW landmark known as the "toughest climb in the lower 48"...This will mean a rigorous training schedule to achieve this physical challenge. I also need your help in raising $4,000 to help aid the Lung Association in their fight against lung disease. This annual event was founded by Lou Whittaker in 1988 to raise funds for the critical work of the Lung Association and to heighten the public awareness about environmental and health issues related to air quality. Each year the Climb for Clean Air generates nearly a half million dollars to support the ALA's goals of reducing tobacco use, preventing indoor and outdoor air pollution and educating families living with lung diseases (like asthma, lung cancer and emphysema) to help them live more comfortably. I am thrilled to be participating in this wonderful event. How YOU can help! DONATE ONLINE with your credit card! I will update my progress on this website and include pictures. Please keep checking...sign the guestbook! I need all the encouragement I can get! Thank you for taking the first step with me. Together we can make a difference. Much love, Cindy "A journey of a thousand miles must begin with a single step" --LaoTsu |
